What Food Companies Hide from us

In the food world everything seems wonderfull, but the truth is that multiple companies hide really dark secrets from us. There have been many food related scandals that went viral, from the lack of hygiene to ingredients used on products.

Some of the scandals that happened in the past were:

Taco Bell’s mystery beef: a law firm in Alabama filed a lawsuit against Taco Bell for selling “mystery meat.”The lawsuit claimed the “seasoned beef” was a meat mixture that didn’t qualify being called beef;

There was also multiple rumors of various food chains using horse meat on their meals;

Subway was accused of their sandwiches being only 50 percent real chicken;

Nestlé's contaminated noodles: officials discovered that the noodles had seven times the allowable limit for lead;

Chinese food market once used fake edible eggs on their meals;

Beech-Nut sold sugary water as a “100% apple juice”;

Chuck E. Cheese pizza: there was a theory that went viral which claimed that the pizzas on the fast-food restaurant were used with leftovers from previous costumers;

McDonalds fries: McDonald’s said they would no longer cook French fries with beef fat, according to The Wall Street Journal. But in 2001, it was revealed that McDonald’s fries were made with beef extract;

A lot of fast-food restaurants such as McDonalds and KFC were accused of using expired on their meals.

These are only a few of the various outrageous food scandals that we know of, because as we all know there’s still a lot of things that happen that don’t even cross our minds. Event thought there were made multiple documentaries and movies about this topic, many people still have no idea what really happens inside the kitchen.
