Techniques Used to Improve the Aesthetic of the Products

by Diana Barros

The products presented to us in the ads are always the most beautiful, bright and delicious. In fact, these products are not as fantastic as described in the advertisements and often what we see is just the opposite. For good advertising, they use artificial products and tricks to make it look better and more attractive. For example:

· To cereal commercial they use white glue instead of milk so they don’t get soggy.

· For fruits they use hairspray and spray-on deodorant to make them shinier.

· For cakes they use cardboard, shaving foam and toothpicks to keep them from melting and to stick. Sticks are also used to hold chips in packages in fast food commercials.

· For ice cream it is necessary to use mashed potatoes because the ice cream melts quickly.

· For beer, dishwashing detergent is used to look like foam and to last longer.

In fast food ads, burgers are only cooked for a few seconds and then painted with oil or grease. In addition, they are also attached with sticks and arranged so that the image is the most juicy and delicious.
